In order to increase transparency between the board and residents, we want to provide an update on the snow services provided so far this winter.
We want to emphasize that SLS, our landscaper and snow removal company, is providing the best services for our budget. We sought multiple proposals for snow removal, and SLS was comparable to all other bidders. However, this winter has had exceptionally high snow accumulations and icy conditions compared to previous years, and as such, we have already spent nearly 3x our allotted budget for snow removal. We have a lot of sidewalks in our neighborhood that drive up the cost of shoveling and salting manpower, and for that we continue to ask residents to salt their sidewalks as they are able with the salt buckets provided by the board.
We don't anticipate any interruption to service or added financial burden to residents at this time. We simply want to keep all residents informed and hope that you understand that we are doing everything we can maintain residents' safety.
